The Ora G. Jones Scholarship
The Jones Family Foundation is proud to honor the
legacy of Ora G. Jones, one of the Foundation’s founders, through
a commitment to providing post-secondary educational opportunities to graduates
of Red Wing High School and Tower
View Alternative School located in Red Wing, Minnesota. Awards are granted
to students who demonstrate strength of character and achievement, as well
as a desire and ability to provide service and leadership in a rapidly
changing world.
Ora Jones felt strongly that educational opportunities
should be offered not only to those students who have consistently maintained
exceptional
levels of academic achievement and extra-curricular participation, but
also to those who have overcome obstacles or demonstrated future potential
through academic improvement and personal growth. Both types of students
will be deemed eligible to receive the Ora G. Jones Scholarship award.
