Scott’s career in commercial banking spanned thirty-five years where he held various positions including serving as CEO of Signal Financial Services, a $1.2 billion bank holding company. During that time he served as president of the American Bankers Association from 1998 – 1999. He also served on the Federal Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve System in Washington, DC from 1999-2001. Since retiring from banking in 2002 he has focused his energies in the area of philanthropy, he served as chair of the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation in 2009 & 2010. He has served on several other nonprofit boards as well. Scott has served on the Jones Family Foundation board since its inception in 1988.
