Professional affiliations include the American Bankers Association, serving on the Community Banking Committee as well its Administrative Committee for three years. Tom also served as Senior Vice President of Clark Consulting in Minneapolis providing strategic planning and board governance assessment consultation to community banks throughout the country. While in Red Wing, Tom served on various non-profit organizations including board member of the Red Wing Family YMCA, treasurer of the Sheldon Theater, Red Wing 2020, President of the United Way, Phillip Duff Endowment Fund, The Red Wing Area Fund, and The Jones Family Foundation. More recently Tom served on the Grants Committee, Board, and Board Co-Chair of the Stone Canyon Community Foundation in Tucson Arizona.

Currently living in Tucson with wife Linda, Tom remembers Red Wing with great fondness and although being raised in the Twin Cities will always regard Red Wing as home. Tom said, “My 22 years living in Red Wing were a dream come true professionally, personally, and as an outstanding place raise our 2 children, both graduates of Red Wing High School. Go Wingers! The community opened my heart and mind to ways to serve youth and families in need that could be life changing! A gift I will always cherish.”

My years with The Jones Family Foundation were one of most important endeavors in my life. The mission envisioned by the founders, and leadership since the beginning, along with the contributions of many committed board members over the years, have created a legacy that will benefit Red Wing residents forever. The JFF process to assess, learn, respond, initiate, convene, and collaborate has created a remarkable resource for the community. To have had a small role in those efforts was very engaging and rewarding.
